Two Other Utah High Schoolers Join Dybantsa As McDonald’s All-Americans

SALT LAKE CITY- Rosters for the Boys and Girls McDonald’s All-American game, which features the country’s best high school talent, were announced yesterday, and although BYU commit AJ Dybantsa will headline the event, two other Utah high school basketball players will be featured.

Houston commit Isiah Harwell of Wasatch Academy was named to the ‘Boys East’ roster and Duke-bound point guard Emilee Skinner of Ridgeline High School will represent ‘Girls West’.

Isiah Harwell

Isiah Harwell is a 6’6 shooting guard from Pocatello, Idaho, playing his final year of high school basketball at Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah.

Harwell is on his way back after tearing his ACL in 2023, but he hasn’t seemed to skip a beat in 2024-2025, averaging 13 points per game with some monster performances like 24 points against Veritas Academy and 19 points versus future Houston teammate Chris Cenac Jr and Link Academy.

Harwell was one of the nation’s most sought-after, ranking in the top 15 as a five-star recruit. Isiah received offers from college basketball bluebloods like North Carolina, Duke, and Kansas, as well as National Championship contenders like Alabama and Gonzaga, but he eventually landed on Houston, committing to play for the Cougars in November 2024.

Emilee Skinner

Emilee Skinner is a 6’0 point guard from Millville, Utah, just outside of Logan. Emilee and the Ridgeline Riverhawks are currently 20-0, ranking 19th nationally and first in the state of Utah.

Skinner is averaging a double-double so far in her senior year with 26 points and 10 rebounds per game. A couple of her most impressive stat lines from her senior year include 32 points and six three-pointers against American Fork and 37 points against Osbourn Park. Through 20 games, Emilee has six 30+ point performances.

As a top-10 player in the country, Emilee had her pick at elite women’s college basketball programs. Her top five consisted of Iowa, UCLA, Notre Dame, and TCU, but she committed to Duke back in November.

In addition to becoming a McDonald’s All-American, Skinner has racked up some impressive accolades in her young career, like winning a gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 FIBA U17 World Cup, being named to the Nike Hoop Summit roster, and being on the watchlist for National Player of the Year.
