Utah State’s Adlan Elamin Earns Mountain West Weekly Award For Streaking Aggies

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State diaper-dandy freshman Adlan Elamin earned Mountain West Freshman of the Week after elevating his game in back-to-back road wins.
It is the first weekly award for the true freshman.

Elamin averaged 8.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and an assist per game while playing 32.5 minutes a night in USU road wins over New Mexico and Wyoming.
Who is Adlan Elamin?
A 6’9″, 189-pound wing, Elamin prepped at St. Paul VI Catholic High School in Chantilly, Virginia.
He came to Utah State, rated a four-star prospect by both ESPN and 247Sports, and immediately became the highest-rated recruit in program history after signing.
Elamin was considered the 141st best player in the 2025 signing class and the 27th power forward by 247Sports.

After beginning the season coming off the bench, head coach Jerrod Calhoun elevated Elamin to the starting five in early December.
He averaged 3.3 points and one rebound in his first seven games, but has flourished as a starter.
Since December 7, Elamin has reached a new level of comfort in USU’s system.
Six double-figure scoring games and a rapid improvement in rebounding rate have made Elamin one of the most explosive players at Calhoun’s disposal.
Defensively, he has one or more steals in seven of the past ten games and averages 1.3 takeaways per game.
