SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah State Aggies won the Mountain West Conference Championship and earned an automatic bid to play in the 2021 Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl.
The Aggies will face the Oregon State Beavers of the Pac-12 Conference on December 18.
The matchup will be the inaugural game of the LA Bowl.

USU will enter the contest with a 10-3 record. Earlier in December, the Aggies beat the San Diego State Aztecs to win their first Mountain West title in program history.

Oregon State will arrive in Southern California with a 7-5 record. The Beavers finished conference play sitting in third place in the Pac-12 North division.
The Aggies and Beavers have faced each other twice all-time. Oregon State owns a 2-0 record in the series.

USU first played Oregon State in 1997 and suffered a 24-16 loss. A year later, the Aggies and Beavers played again. Oregon State defeated Utah State in the second meeting, 20-16.
ESPN’s Football Power Index gives Utah State a 33.7 percent chance at beating Oregon State.
