Bradlee Anae Improved NFL Draft Stock With Outstanding Senior Bowl Performance

MOBILE, Ala. – Former Utah Utes defensive end Bradlee Anae made a big impression on NFL teams and scouts this past week at the Senior Bowl.

Anae was impressive during the week of practices with the best seniors and graduating juniors during the past college football season. The Senior Bowl brings in two NFL coaching staffs, usually teams that didn’t have great seasons but it’s a great opportunity for them to get up close and personal with these players.
For Anae and the other two Utes, they were selected to the North Team that was led by Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia, who really liked what he saw in practice from Anae.

In the Senior Bowl on Saturday, Anae was creating havoc on the opposing offensive line, racking up three sacks and also a hit on the quarterback, forcing former Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts to throw an interception.

After the Senior Bowl, “The Score” listed Anae as one of the players that raised their draft stock. They said that Anae locked himself in as a second round pick and an outside shot as a first rounder.
Two other Utah players participated in the game. Safety Terrell Burgess had a pass breakup and linebacker Francis Bernard started the game.
Former Utah State quarterback Jordan Love started for the North team and finished with 26 passing yards, 4 rushing yards on 4-6 passing.
These players will wait to see if they receive an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine, which takes place in Indianapolis from February 23 to March 2. Also, both Utah and Utah State will hold their pro day.
The NFL Draft will be in Las Vegas from April 23-25.
