Huntley Finds Moss For 69-Yard Gain On Broken Play

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Utes quarterback Tyler Huntley saved a possible fumble and turned it into a 69-yard pass to running back Zack Moss.
Huntley fumbled the snap, but was able to pick up the ball and roll out of the pocket to his right side. He passed to his left side to a wide open Moss at Utah’s own 25-yard line, who ran the ball to the Cal 6-yard line.
Two plays later, Moss ran in a four-yard touchdown to break the school record for most career rushing touchdowns in Utah football history. The score capped a 99-yard drive when Utah started at their own 1-yard line to begin the possession.

Last week, the senior broke the school record for career rushing yards in the Utes 21-3 win over Arizona State, passing Eddie Johnson, who had the record since 1988. Moss recorded his 9th rushing touchdown of the season, which is currently the most in the Pac-12.
Huntley was a game-time decision to start against Cal but played in the game despite suffering a leg injury last week in Utah’s 21-3 win over the Arizona State Sun Devils.
