SALT LAKE CITY — Utah has landed another important in-state commitment in the 2027 recruiting class, as Davis High School four-star athlete Jaxton Itaaehau committed to the Utes.
Morgan Scalley continue to load up on in-state talent, this is the local third commitment this week alone. Itaaehau is one of the most versatile prospects in the state, and another local building block for the future of the program.
Itaaehau has committed as a receiver, but his overall athletic profile makes him a versatile offensive weapon. He has the kind of multi-position background that can translate well to offense, especially in a system that wants to create space, stress defenses and find ways to get the ball to athletes who can make something happen after the catch.

Utah lands a priority local target
Itaaehau’s commitment is another meaningful step for Utah’s 2027 class. He is the 16th commit in the class, and fifth Utah product to join Scalley’s first recruiting class.
