To earn unanimous All-American status, a player must be named a first-team All-America by all five of the major selectors — the Associated Press, American Football Coaches Association, Football Writers Association of America, The Sporting News, and Walter Camp Football Foundation.
Fano checked every box, joining an elite list of just five Utes to ever earn unanimous All-America honors — and the only offensive lineman in program history to do it.
