SALT LAKE CITY— Kyle Whittingham and Utah football are headed back to the Las Vegas Bowl, and this time the opponent is set: the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Utah, 10-2, ranked No. 15 in the College Football Playoff rankings will meet Nebraska, 7-5 on New Year’s Eve at 1:30 p.m. MT inside Allegiant Stadium, with ESPN broadcasting the matchup live.
For Utah, this game represents a chance to break a prolonged bowl drought and make a definitive statement after falling short of the Big 12 title game and CFP contention this season. The Utes’ last bowl victory came in 2017; since then, Utah has dropped five straight postseason games.
