SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah football program released the first part of their docu-series honoring Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe on Tuesday.

It was fitting for Utah football to release the first of a four-part docu-series honoring Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe on 2-22-22. Utah football aired on the first part of the series on Tuesday at 2:22 p.m. MT on their YouTube page.

The Pac-12 Network also aired it on their digital stream “Pac-12 Insider” and is scheduled to air on the Network at 6:30 p.m. MT.

Highlights From Part One Of Docu-Series

The first part started out with interviews and behind-the-scenes of the lead up to the Rose Bowl Game against Ohio State. Just as the Buckeyes kicked off to the Utes in Pasadena, the docu-series backed up all the way to the Washington State game in December of the 2020 season.

That was Ty Jordan’s last game and he was a big reason why the Utes came back from a 21-point deficit to win the game.

“That dude was a firework on the field,” Utes cornerback Clark Phillips III said about Jordan’s performance. Quarterback Cam Rising talked about talking to Jordan on his recruiting visit. He told him that if he went to Utah that they would do great things together, including winning the Pac-12.

Then they talked to various members of the team to get their reaction of what they were doing when they heard the news of Jordan’s passing, including Kyle Whittingham, Rising, Phillips, Britain Covey, Dalton Kincaid and many more.

Jordan was killed on Christmas night in 2020 in Denton, Texas, where he suffered an accidental gunshot wound. Lowe was best friends with Jordan as they both attended the same high school in Mesquite, Texas. The Utah defensive back was one of the main reasons that Jordan decided to attend the university after de-committing from Texas.

During this past offseason, Lowe switched his number from 2 to 22 to honor Jordan. He was also the first recipient of the Ty Jordan Memorial Scholarship.

Lowe was tragically shot and killed at a house party in Sugarhouse early in the morning of Sunday, September 26.

Episode two of the series will air on Thursday, March 10. The third episode will premiere on Thursday, March 24 and the final episode released on Thursday, April 7.
