Zack Moss Passes Tony Lindsay For Second In Utah Career Rushing Yards, Touchdowns

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Utes senior star running back Zack Moss is now second in program history in career rushing yards, passing Tony Lindsay.

Entering Utah’s game against Idaho State, Moss needed 78 yards and he passed that mark with 5:57 left in the first quarter.

He only needed 5 carries to pass Lindsay and racked up 88 yards, he had a big chunk play to pass Lindsay that took him to the one-yard line. One play later, Moss ran into the end zone for a touchdown, which he passed Eddie Johnson for second in school history for most career rushing touchdowns with 27.

Del Rodgers currently holds the school record with 31 rushing touchdowns. He played for the Utes from 1978-81.

At the time of passing Lindsay, the Utes had a 10-0 lead in the first quarter.

Now, the senior needs 212 yards to break the school record that is currently held by Eddie Johnson with 3,219.

Lindsay racked up 2,995 rushing yards during his time with the Utes from 1977-80.

Moss passed Devontae Booker for third place during the first game of the 2019 season against BYU with 187 yards in the win over the Cougars in Provo.
