Kansas City Chiefs Nearly Sweep Super Bowl Predictions

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Kansas City Chiefs nearly swept the KSL Sports’ team predictions of this weekend’s big game – with the exception of one.

Tom Hackett, former University of Utah punter, predicted that the San Fransisco 49ers will become world champions – all thanks to the leg of fellow-former University of Utah punter Mitch Wishnowsky.

The rest of the team thinks Patrick Mahomes will be too much for the 49ers spectacular defense to contain.

Jeremiah Jensen – Kansas City Chiefs

The San Fransisco 49ers looked dominant in their NFC Championship game win over the Packers. They were second in total defense this year and fourth in total offense. They have the best pass defense in the NFL. With that said, I don’t think they have seen an offense that will challenge them as the Chiefs can.

Patrick Mahomes will be the best player on the field and Andy Reid is due. The Chiefs will start slow, as they have in their last two games, but they’ll get that offense rolling and win their first Super Bowl in 50 years.

Sam Farnsworth – Kansas City Chiefs

At the beginning of the playoffs, I picked the Chiefs to win it all and much to the chagrin of my Broncos fandom I’m sticking with my Chiefs pick. (I threw up in my mouth a little bit typing that.)

Chiefs will win it in a shootout 37-35.

Scott Mitchell – Kansas City Chiefs

In a convincing fashion, the Kansas City Cheifs will win. All cylinders will fire for the Chiefs in a game that won’t even be close.

The 49ers might wake up late but the game will be a bit too much for them.

The Chief’s speed and talent on offense matches or exceeds the 49er’s defense. Too many weapons and Mahomes is playing at an elite level, he has been the best player in the playoffs.

This game will be too big for Jimmy Garrapolo – mistakes and inconsistent play on offense will be magnified by 10 in this game.

Alex Kirry – Kansas City Chiefs

For the love of the football gods, please don’t give us another terrible 10-3 game like last season. No one wants that garbage. Defense wins boring championships.

So, with my entertainment purely at the center of my pick, the best version of the Super Bowl is a Kansas City Chiefs offense that is lighting up the field against the lauded San Francisco 49ers defense.

If the Chiefs are firing on all cylinders and Patrick Mahomes throws for 4-ish touchdowns, I’ll be a happy football consumer.

Raheem Mostert will hopefully keep the Niners in this thing long enough but the story is already being written by the football angels in football heaven. There will be fifty years of football redemption ushered in by the game’s new football hero, Patrick Mahomes.

The San Fransisco 49ers will become world champions. I originally predicted it would come down to the 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens, but I knew the leg strength of Mitch Wishnowsky was going to be too much for anyone to handle.

The 49ers will win comfortably over the Chiefs. They have too many weapons on offense and the best defense in the land.

Mitch will win a Super Bowl during his rookie season and I am not jealous at all.
