SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – sports.ksl.com’s Bracket of Movies continues with a matchup of the 2 and 31 seeds.
This matchup pits two of most well-known films in the sports genre and is ripe for a potentially huge upset, seeding-wise.
The No. 2 seed in the tournament is 1980’s Caddyshack. The country club comedy features some of the industry’s heaviest hitters in Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield. While very much for adults only, this movie also has some of the most quotable moments and memorable scenes in the history of sports movies.
The Sandlot, the No. 31 seed in the bracket, has a special place in the hearts of those who live in Utah. The film was almost entirely filmed in the Beehive State and features the story of a group of baseball-loving friends and their mission to retrieve a valuable Bath Ruth-autographed baseball from the grasp of a ferocious beast on the other side of the field at their ball field.
