SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The NBA admitted that officials missed a crucial foul call in the Utah Jazz loss to the Golden State Warriors on Monday night.

With 32 seconds remaining in the game, Clarkson attempted a three-pointer that missed wide to the left with the Jazz leading 116-114.

Clarkson and Jazz coach Quin Snyder both appeared to notice the Warriors foul looking to the officials for a whistle that never came.

“Curry (GSW) makes contact with Clarkson’s (UTA) arm during his jump shot attempt,” the league wrote in the last two minutes report.

The Jazz guard discussed the play after the game mentioning that Curry’s status and an NBA star may have been the reason for the non-call.

“The shot […] should have reviewed and maybe looked at because I feel like that was more of a foul than anything,” Clarkson said. “Maybe it was the guy that was guarding me, you couldn’t call foul on him late in the game.”

The missed call on the three wasn’t the only missed infraction to work against the Jazz.

According to the NBA, Clarkson was fouled by Jordan Poole on an inbound play with seven seconds remaining and the Jazz trailing 117-116 that should have given the ball back to Utah.

On Clarkson’s final shot that could have tied the game, Warriors forward Draymond Green fouled Rudy Gobert on the rebound attempt, then never established himself out of bounds before inbounding the ball to end the game.

The Jazz loss cut their lead over the Phoenix Suns atop the West to just 1.5 games with three games left to play.
