SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell cheered on his teammates during Utah’s game against the Dallas Mavericks with a few posts on Twitter.

The Jazz hosted the Mavericks at Vivint Arena on Friday, January 29.

After entering the NBA concussion protocol earlier in the week, Mitchell missed the contest, which was his second missed game in a row.

During Utah’s 120-101 win over Dallas, Mitchell joined Jazz Nation on Twitter in talking about the game.

Joe Ingles Breaks Franchise Record

During the first quarter, Jazz forward Joe Ingles buried a pair of three-pointers to tie and break Utah’s franchise record for most triples made in a career.

“YEAHHHHHH @Joeingles7,” Mitchell tweeted.

Prior to Ingles’ record-breaking shot, John Stockton owned the team record for most threes made in a career.

Big Run Early

Utah ended the first quarter against the Mavericks on a 19-3 run and owned a 37-12 lead after the first 12 minutes of game time.

Mitchell tweeted six fire emojis along with a GIF that said, “LETS GOOOOO!!!!”

The Jazz connected on eight three-pointers in the quarter.

Bojan Bogdanovic Heats Up

Last season, Bojan Bogdanovic was Utah’s second-leading scorer, trailing only Mitchell’s average.

Entering the game against Dallas, the Jazz forward was averaging 12.9 points per contest.

After a 10-point first half, Bogdanovic got things rolling in the third quarter.

“Uh oh Bojan!!!” Mitchell tweeted along with a pair of eyes emojis.

Bogdanovic finished with a season-high 32 points.

Up Next

Utah’s next game is against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday, January 31.

“So the Jazz are flying to Denver after the game tonight, and when recognizing Donovan Mitchell’s community assist award earlier in the night, they said he wasn’t in the arena,” sports.ksl.com’s Ben Anderson tweeted during the game. “Make of that what you will for Sunday’s game.”

This season, Mitchell is averaging 23.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists.

Utah owns an NBA-best 15-4 record and has won 11 straight games.

The Jazz and Nuggets are scheduled to tip-off on Sunday, January 31 at 1:30 p.m. (MDT) on NBA TV and 97.5 FM.
