Keyonte George Contract Extension With Utah Jazz
According to Charania, the Utah Jazz and George agreed to a five-year, $157.5 million rookie-scale extension.
That deal places George at $31.5 million annually. League-wide, the new contract makes Utah’s rising star one of the 30 highest-paid guards in the NBA.
In the neighborhood of $30 to $32 million AAV are names like Immanuel Quickley, Jordan Poole, Derrick White, Jalen Suggs, and Tyler Herro.

About Keyonte George
After a successful freshman season with the Byalor Bears, George got picked up by the Utah Jazz with the No. 16 overall pick in the first round of the 2023 NBA Draft.
George was thrown into the fire of a rebuilding team immediately. He averaged 13.0 points as a rookie and followed that with 16.8 points per game as a sophomore. Although he found some success as a scorer and as a lead guard, questions about his efficiency and defense left his future in question.
That changed in the 2025-26 season.
George made the jump from an intriguing young player to a borderline All-Star and was a Most Improved Player candidate. He averaged 23.6 points and 6.1 assists on 45.6/37.1/89.2 shooting splits. He paired the on-court improvement with a full buy-in off the court.
In just one season, George swung his career outlook, and the Jazz locked him down for the rest of the decade.
