SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz will attempt to win their fourth straight game and enter the All-Star break with a winning streak. They will have to go through the Miami Heat on Wednesday night at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

The Jazz are coming off of a Texas road trip sweep over the Houston Rockets and the Dallas Mavericks. Utah beat the Mavericks on Monday night, 123-119.

Meanwhile, the Heat are struggling in the past four games, having won just one game and that was their previous one against the Golden State Warriors 113-101.

This will mark the second and final meeting in the regular season between these two teams. The previous matchup was on December 23 in Miami as the Heat beat the Jazz 107-104 to snap a five-game winning streak. After that loss, the Jazz went on to win 10 straight.

Jazz Hope To Continue Hot Shooting

Utah defeated the Mavericks on Monday mainly due to their hot shooting from the field. They made 46 of their 78 field goal attempts for 59 percent and knocked down 15 three-pointers. A big part of the win as well was the bench play as the four second unit players combined for 50 points, led by Jordan Clarkson with 25 points and Emmanuel Mudiay with 12 points.

In their buzzer-beating win over the Houston Rockets on Sunday, the Jazz made 48 percent of their shots from the field and 39 percent from beyond the arc.

Finally, in their close win over Portland – the first game of the three-game winning streak – the Jazz shot 49 percent from the floor and 33 percent from downtown.

During the winning streak, Rudy Gobert is shooting 17-22 from the floor, Donovan Mitchell is 23-51 and Jordan Clarkson is 28-49 from the field.

In their loss to the Heat, Joe Ingles led the Jazz with 27 points and tied his career-high of seven three’s made. Utah made 43 percent of their field goals.

About Miami

The Heat will make their fifth stop of a six-game road trip. They started the trip with a 17-point loss to the Clippers, followed by an 8-point defeat to the Kings and a 6-point loss to the Trail Blazers before snapping the losing streak with a 12-point victory over the Golden State Warriors.

Miami is still getting used to their three new players that they acquired in a trade last Thursday. They picked up Andre Iguodala, former Jazzman Jae Crowder and Solomon Hill in exchange for Justise Winslow and Dion Waiters.

Iguodala has played in two games for the Heat and scored 4 points, pulled down 11 boards and dished out 5 assists in the two games combined. Crowder has been more productive in his short time with his new team. He had 18 points and 11 rebounds against Portland along with 21 points and 8 rebounds against the Warriors.

Miami has eight players averaging double figures in scoring, led by Jimmy Butler with 20.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.2 assists. Crowder in two games is posting 19.5 points, Goran Dragic is adding 16.1 points.

Miami has two players that will participate in the NBA All-Star game in Butler and Bam Adebayo. The Heat big man is having a breakout season, averaging 16 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.2 steals.

Tip-off between the Jazz and the Heat will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night and will be broadcast on AT&T SportsNet.
