SALT LAKE CITY – After landing the 10:00 a.m. MT kickoff against Texas Tech, FOX has now announced that Big Noon Kickoff will also be in Salt Lake City for the Saturday morning show.

FOX Big Noon Kickoff’s live broadcast will begin at 8 a.m. MT from Ute Village at the southwest corner of Guardsman Way and 500 South, next to the Smith’s Ultimate Tailgate Experience. It will be preceded by The Barstool College Football Show beginning at 7 a.m. at the same site.

FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff goes live from Utah campus

For the first time ever, FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff pregame show will broadcast live from the University of Utah campus.

Big-name talent will be on hand: FOX Sports’ Rob Stone anchors the broadcast, joined by former college football stars Mark Ingram II, Matt Leinart, and Brady Quinn. Adding extra Ute flavor, former Utah head coach and 2025 College Football Hall of Fame inductee Urban Meyer, who guided Utah to its historic undefeated 2008 season, will also appear.

The popular college football preview kicks off at 8 a.m. MT from Ute Village, located at the southwest corner of Guardsman Way and 500 South, right next to the Smith’s Ultimate Tailgate Experience. Fans can also catch the Barstool College Football Show starting at 7 a.m. at the same location.

Fans can expect in-depth analysis, insider interviews, and even a little edge-of-your-seat fun with Barstool’s Dave Portnoy and Chris “The Bear” Fallica delivering his signature ‘Bear’s Bets’ segment, alongside award-winning reporters Bruce Feldman and Tom Rinaldi.

Big Noon Saturday Showdown

The Utes’ offense has been electric, posting 106 points across two games while allowing just 19. Their opponent, the Red Raiders, have been even more prolific, racking up 129 points in their first two outings and surpassing 60 points in each game.

Saturday’s game isn’t just about bragging rights—the winner will notch its first victory over a ranked opponent this season, jump-start Big 12 momentum, and set the tone for the weeks ahead.

Who will call Utah vs. Texas Tech?

FOX’s Big Noon Saturday time slot is a premier TV window on the college football slate, featuring Gus Johnson on play-by-play, Joel Klatt as the analyst and Jenny Taft reporting from the sideline.

FOX Big Noon Saturday games achieved the highest average viewership among all time slots on all networks from 2021-23 — including a high of 6.74 million average viewers in 2023.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our football program to play in front of a large TV audience in the Big Noon Saturday time slot on FOX and showcase the energy and atmosphere of Rice-Eccles Stadium,” Director of Athletics Mark Harlan said. “Thanks to FOX and the Big 12 for giving us this stage to amplify our incredible football program and this great university. Our awesome fans will be firing up their grills bright and early—they’ll just be mixing in some omelets and pancakes on their tailgate menus. We look forward to a fantastic day on campus.”

What channel is Utah vs. Texas Tech on?

Utah’s Big 12 Conference opener against the Red Raiders will be broadcast on FOX.

The game will be played at Rice Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“We have no problem playing early in the day; just tell us what time kickoff is and we will be there,” Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham said. “Our fans are awesome and will show the country the home-field advantage that Rice-Eccles Stadium is known for. Obviously, we’ll have a big TV audience in that time slot, so that’s great exposure for our program.”
Utah Football is 0-2 all-time against Texas Tech. The first matchup was played on Saturday, September 16th, 1972 in Lubbock, Texas. The Utes lost 29-22. The second matchup came a year later on Saturday, September 15th in Lubbock, Texas. The Utes lost that game 45-2.

What is Utah’s record?

So far, Utah is 2-0 on the season with victories over UCLA and Cal Poly. This week the Utes take on Wyoming in Laramie before kicking of the Big 12 slate against Texas Tech.
