Park City’s Nick Page Qualifies For Freestyle Moguls Medal Round

MILAN, Italy – The medal hopes of Park City’s Nick Page are still alive after the 23-year-old qualified for the medal round of the men’s freestyle skiing moguls competition.
Fellow American Dylan Walczyk also advanced to the medal round.
The Milan Cortina freestyle skiing men’s moguls first qualifying round took place on Tuesday, February 10.
Locals Charlie Mickel and Landon Wendler had the two fastest times that fell short of qualifying, finishing 11th and 12th, respectively.
Today’s top ten scores advance to the medal round on Thursday, February 12.
An earlier qualifying round on the same day will place ten more skiers in the final medal chase.
Nick Page
A Park City, Utah, native, Nick Page clocked an early top-four time in the qualification round. Page cruised through the course, finishing with a score of 77.5.

His score was nearly eight points behind Japan’s Ikuma Horishima.
His time held up as the fifth-best of the day to earn a berth in the medal round.
Charlie Mickel
U of U student Charlie Mickel had a solid opening run. Mickel gave himself a chance at making the final with a 75.31 score.
Mickel was pushed out of the top ten late in the round, forcing him to set his sights on qualifying round two on Thursday.
Landon Wendler
Landon Wendler’s slow start cost him valuable time, leading to a 75.08 score that was not good enough to qualify for Thursday’s medal round.
He will have another chance to qualify before the final.
