Team USA Comes Up Empty In Women’s Super-G

MILAN, Italy – Nothing came easy on the women’s Super-G course, especially for Team USA in a performance the group would likely rather forget.
Despite having four skiers in the final field, the U.S. couldn’t crack the top 10.
Westminster student Jackie Wiles was the best performer, placing 13th. Keely Cashman finished 15th.
2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics Medal Count
Difficult track conditions caused several racers to crash out early in the competition. Five successive skiers were disqualified at one point.
17 racers did not finish the course, including Utahns Breezy Johnson and Mary Bocock.
Federica Brignone of Italy stunned the field, winning Gold. France and Romane Miradoli secured Silver, followed by Austria’s Cornelia Huetter for Bronze.

Keely Cashman
University of Utah student Keely Cashman began strong, but stumbled through the middle of the course, dropping Cashman out of medal competition.
She crossed the finish line at 1:25.61.
Breezy Johnson
Competing in her third event of the 2026 Winter Olympics, the Utah resident Breezy Johnson‘s run ended after getting caught up in a gate right at the beginning of her attempt.

She tumbled into the safety netting but was able to ski off the track.
Mary Bocock
Salt Lake City native Mary Bocock was early in her attempt when she went down hard.
Bockok appeared to lose her balance in the middle of a jump and skidded out when her edge caught the snow.
She skied off under her own power.
Jackie Wiles
Local student Jakie Wiles suddenly became the team’s only chance at a medal despite entering the games not expecting to compete in the Super G.

Stepping in for injured Lindsey Vonn, Wiles couldn’t keep pace with the leaders and finished in 1:25.40.
