Scattered showers and storms will taper off this evening as they move west to east. An isolated gusty, mainly dry shower will remain possible across the southern half of the Wasatch Front this evening and tomorrow afternoon. Skies will clear overnight, then we'll see some showers redevelop generally over northeastern Utah. Fire danger remains high in southwestern Utah Friday with very low humidity and winds gusty up to 25-30 mph. A strong high pressure system will begin to approach Utah tomorrow from the southwest, so highs will flirt with 100 along the Wasatch Front. As the high moves overhead Saturday and to our east Sunday, highs will peak and will approach daily, monthly, and even all-time values. These temperatures will increase the danger for heat related illnesses, so please take care of yourselves this weekend.
