Morning weather forecast for July 6, 2026

A little bit of moisture has streamed into the state today and that's going to allow for isolated mountain t-storms; some could try and drift into the valleys by afternoon/evening. This slight chance for pop-ups will be in play again Tuesday. By Wednesday, drier air starts filtering into the state, serving to diminish rain chances a bit. A strong high-pressure system is set to build into the Four Corners region this weekend, which will bring near-record temperatures to the state of Utah Friday-Sunday. We're also tracking the potential for a deeper tap of monsoon moisture to move in early next week as a result. - Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 7.6.26
