Evening forecast October 21, 2026

Heavy rain will continue for parts of southern and eastern Utah Thursday. Flash flooding along with strong to severe storms will remain possible Thursday for all of central and southern Utah. Isolated showers and storms will be possible during the day for those along and west of I-15, but the main action will come in the evening. The arrival of a cold front will bring a line of showers and storms that will likely impact the Wasatch Front between 8pm and 1am. Heading into Friday, our second front doesn't look as impactful. We're going to keep a chance for some wraparound showers across northern Utah, but the day doesn't look like a washout. Because there appears to be less precipitation, mountain snow potential has dropped to 1-3" with the chance for higher amounts in the Cottonwoods. Over the weekend, a closed low pressure system will be working through Utah, and this will keep showers across eastern Utah and the mountains. The state will dry out fully by Monday. - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 10.21.26
