Morning weather forecast for October 20, 2026
Utah's next storm system is currently churning off the California coast right now. By early tomorrow morning, showers and thunderstorms will be moving into southern Utah and this will likely elevate the southern Utah flash flood potential Wednesday & Thursday both. A 20-30% chance for some showers does exist in northern Utah Wednesday, but the better rain chances show up for the Wasatch Front come Thursday evening into Friday. Snow levels will be high around 11k feet on Thursday then drop down to 8k feet by Friday with some accumulating snow mainly above that line. Rain totals could really rack up in southern Utah with this system, we'll be tracking it. – Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 10.20.26
