Evening forecast for Oct. 7, 2026
Beautiful, sunny weather will continue for the next few days statewide, with highs in the 80s along the Wasatch Front. The KSL Weather Team is tracking a significant pattern change that will occur beginning Saturday afternoon. A cold low-pressure system will drop in from the Gulf of Alaska and dive south into Nevada and California. This storm system will draw in remnant moisture from Hurricane Rachel in the eastern Pacific and then pump it into Utah. This will bring thunderstorms, heavy rain, and the chance for flooding in southern Utah on Sunday, Monday, and into Tuesday. Northern Utah will see on-and-off rain starting Saturday night and lasting into Wednesday. Stay with KSL as we track this storm and refine the forecast details. Kevin Eubank - KSL Weather 10.7.26
