Evening forecast for Sept. 23, 2026
Mostly quiet weather will continue over Utah the next couple of days, except for south-central and southeastern Utah where daily, isolated afternoon thunderstorm chances will remain. Temperatures will warm back above normal with highs in the low 80s Thursday through Sunday. Now as we head into early next week, we're tracking a couple of large scale features that dictate our weather. The first feature is in the tropics. Two hurricanes in the eastern Pacific will work together to send moisture into the southwestern/central United States and this could include Utah. The second feature is a trough dropping in from the northwest. Depending on how the trough moves and its timing will influence how far north the tropical moisture will move.
