Evening forecast for Oct. 22, 2026
Major flash flooding took place this morning on Gould Wash in Hurricane, Utah. 1-2" fell on the headwaters of that wash, and it sent a wave of water down the canyon into the city of Hurricane - this is their second major flood from the same wash in four months! The heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue across southern and eastern Utah today, with more evening storms along the Wasatch Front. The rain will impact the majority of northern Utah, and last into the day on Friday. Rain will taper off by evening, and we will see partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies for the weekend.
