Evening forecast for Aug. 26, 2026

Scattered showers and storms will likely develop again across our mountains tomorrow with a few of those storms drifting over adjacent valleys, including the Wasatch Front. While it might take some time to re-saturate the valley floor, we could still see some brief heavy rain and gusty winds. Friday looks like it could be a bit less active statewide, although, atmospheric moisture will be on the rise ahead of a weekend cold front. We could see some rain move into northern Utah as early as Friday evening, but best chances will be with the front on Saturday. The front may stall across central and northern Utah Sunday, so we're going to keep the chance for some lingering showers then. Highs will fall below normal into the low to mid 80s for the weekend! - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 8.26.26
