Evening forecast for Oct. 28, 2026
Thursday and Friday will have partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the low to mid 60s. On Friday, an isolated shower or two will be possible in the afternoon/evening. Better chances for some widely scattered showers and storms will be found across southern Utah. Saturday overall looks to see a decrease in coverage, but isolated showers are still possible - especially across southern and eastern Utah and areas northern of SLC. It will not be a washout for trick-or-treaters! Heading into early Sunday, our stronger, more impactful storm will arrive. This will bring widespread rain and mountain snow to the state through Monday morning. In general, precipitation amounts look to be between a .25" to .50" with southwestern Utah and the Wasatch Front getting up to an inch. A foot of mountain snowfall will be possible in favored spots like the Cottonwoods and the Uintas. - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 10.28.26
