Morning weather forecast for October 30, 2026

The first push of tropical moisture moves into Utah today with scattered showers now looking more likely along the Wasatch Front. Thunderstorms and showers are expected across southwest Utah with a slight risk (level 1/2) for flash flooding. Saturday is a bit of a lull with mostly cloudy skies. Sunday the main storm core moves in producing valley rain and high mountain snow (above 9k feet) state wide. Valley rain will come in waves through Monday morning with snow levels gradually coming down to 6500'-7000'. Rainfall totals across northern and southwestern Utah look to range between .75" - 1.25". The Uinta Basin will range between .25"-.75". Central valleys and areas around Lake Powell up to Green River: .50" - 1". Eastern border including Moab and Blanding: 1" - 1.50". Mountain snow accumulations looks optimistic with the Upper Cottonwoods potentially seeing up to 16". – Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 10.30.26
