Afternoon forecast August 10, 2026
High pressure is in prime position to pump subtropical water vapor (monsoon moisture) into the state for the next several days. Daily afternoon pop-up t-storms are looking likely in the mountains of Utah, but the valleys will be a little more hit-and-miss. Temperatures through the week will cool down into the 80s, with the best valley rain chances showing up mid-week. Flash flood potential in central and southern Utah will be elevated this week as the monsoon really becomes established- Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 8.10.26
