Evening forecast August 13, 2026
It has been a very active day across northern and southern Utah, unfortunately not as active for central and eastern Utah. A very strong thunderstorm developed in the West Desert around 445pm, and eventually exhibited signs of rotation which led to a tornado warning through central Tooele County. Fortunately, that threat has waned, but scattered showers and storms remain across portions of northern Utah at least through midnight-1am. Friday will be much more quiet across northern Utah with a lot of dry time and more so an isolated chance in the afternoon and late evening for some showers/storms. Southern Utah could see numerous storms again that will be capable of producing heavy rain and flash flooding. By Saturday and Sunday the threat for t-storms will mainly be confined to the mountain tops. - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 8.13.26
