Morning weather forecast for August 13, 2026
Deep monsoon moisture is in place and now we're going to add large scale lift, this is our best set-up for thunderstorms this week. Scattered storms across the entire state today will bring much needed rainfall for those that receive them, there will also be some storms capable of heavy rainfall. The heavy rainfall threat is highest down in southern and southwest Utah, all eyes will be watching radar around the recent Widemouth 2 burn scar and Cottonwood burn scar. Drier air starts to move in tomorrow, but isolated t-storms will still be possible, just not as many in number. By Saturday and Sunday the threat for t-storms will mainly be confined to the mountain tops. - Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 8.13.26
