Morning weather forecast for August 20, 2026
High pressure over southern Utah will keep hot temperatures in the Wasatch Front forecast today and tomorrow with highs near record levels. By late Friday we'll see some moisture sneak into the Wasatch late in the day, expect increasing clouds and maybe some showers in the area by evening. Mountain t-storms will fire up across the state on Saturday with a 30-40% chance that we see a late afternoon/evening shower along the Wasatch Front. Widely isolated shower chances are also in play on Sunday, but overall most t-storms will remain confined to the higher elevations. - Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 8.20.26
