Morning weather forecast for August 14, 2026
An official damage assessment will be done today by the National Weather Service to determine whether a tornado actually touched down in Tooele County. Residual moisture today will allow for more pop-up showers and t-storms across the Wasatch Front with heavier pockets of rain more likely in central and southern Utah. A general drying trend will set up for the weekend and into the start of next week. There's subtle hints that the monsoon moisture could try and stream back into the state next week sometime. - Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 8.14.26
