Morning weather forecast for September 1, 2026

Big time rain totals are coming in out of southern Utah with many locations in the southern mountains picking up 1-3" of water Monday alone. Flash flooding was observed in many locations including Zion National Park and Springdale. Drier air starts moving in today, but the mountain tops will likely still see some pop-up t-storms this afternoon. Temps in the mid-80s through the rest of the week with dry skies, but by Labor Day Weekend we'll see a steady increase of moisture with showers possible Labor Day Monday. - Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 9.1.26
