Morning forecast for June 30, 2026

A bit of a state divided today as a low pressure system slides through Las Vegas and Southeast Utah. This will put a band of southwest winds and low humidity into eastern and southeastern Utah today, creating for elevated fire danger. Fires that are burning down in San Juan and Grand Counties will likely see more aggressive fire behavior today as a result. Temperatures all the meanwhile in northern Utah will remain 7-10 degrees below normal with a slight chance for mountain pop-ups. Temperatures continue to rise as high pressure slowly builds in from the southeast. Right now the 4th of July looks hot and dry with highs right around normal in the low 90s.
